Survey savvy has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete also. Once you decide to get your payout you just request it and you get a check in the mail in a few weeks. The surveys are fun, quick, and it doesn't take very long to build up enough money for the minimum payment threshold.
My favorite is Pinecone Research. You have to have an invitation to join though. So look around for some on the internet and you'll find one usually. They send one or two surveys a month. All surveys are pretty short and at least $3 each. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don't check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto or you can choose to have it put in a paypal account.
It's completely free, and they actually pay you a decent amount for each survey you fill out. The downside is that the surveys you qualify for are e-mailed to you, so you are limited to the number of surveys you can participate in. Once you're registered you can fill out several questionnaires on the site to qualify to participate in more surveys. They are optional, of course, but i would greatly recommend filling them out quickly so that you will be sent more surveys.
The way it works is they e-mail you surveys related to your interests based on your answers to the questionnaires, you take the surveys, and get money added to your account. Once you reach the minimum payment threshold of $5 you can request a check. They will process your request in a few weeks and send out your check
